Over the past year, we have heard numerous newscasts and read many articles regarding the opiate epidemic and overdoses in Long Island. However, throughout these discussions, there has been very little information regarding the risk factors of opiate usage, specifically HIV/AIDS. This 6 hour workshop will prepare people working with opiate users how to assess for risk factors of HIV, and how to create a proper treatment plan incorporating risk and harm reduction
