Ethical issues concerning boundaries and dual relationships are among the most complex and difficult for the addictions and mental health professionals. Seminar includes an overview of the history and evolution of ethics practice. Counseling professionals will learn to recognize an ethical dilemma and utilizing a simple process to sort out choices. Cases may be presented from the floor. Counselors will sort through boundary crossings, boundary violations, and dual relationships in order to discern what constitutes not only the highest standards for ethical behavior, but also the highest standards for practice.
